Caleb Brown, news personality, writer and bluegrass musician is running the site and helps produce the print edition as well. The best part is obviously the Zip Code Crime reports, or police blotters. Ken Layne has been also posting some pretty funny blotters from Sparks, NV lately.|W|P|93993830|W|P||W|P|jacksoncooper@gmail.com5/08/2003 10:59:00 AM|W|P|Jackson|W|P|Salam Pax is back, sort-of. He sent a bunch of very entertaining and interesting updates to someone outside of Iraq who in turn updated his site. Go now and read for a unique perspective on the war.|W|P|93993316|W|P||W|P|jacksoncooper@gmail.com5/05/2003 09:48:00 AM|W|P|Jackson|W|P|
There are times in your life when you just can't stop and explain. This past month and a half or so has been that kind of time. We fought and won a war. I gave my notice at work, and was going to leave at the end of May. I helped a friend move back to Canada and experienced being out of the country while we were at war. The situation at work changed so drastically and completely that I decided to stay. I went backpacking in Red River Gorge. I went down and worked Merlefest again. I regained contact with one of the smartest people I ever knew in high school only to find out that she is even smarter and cooler now. I paid $40 to see My Morning Jacket open for Bob Dylan, only to miss all but one song by MMJ because of the boneheads that opened the doors late and started the show early.
I took a few pictures, but the truth is I barely had time. I have no intention of leaving this site unattended for so long again, but if real life maintains this pace I may not have time to stop and document it all.
Update: Pictures!!!
